Is the U-M School of Music Right for Me?
The curriculum at the U-M School of Music puts a solid emphasis on music including private lessons, music theory, musicology, and performance opportunities; in doing so, the program is designed to bring the best out of its student while also allowing each student to follow their own path.
There are, of course, other considerations to take into account. Such as the cost of tuition (especially for non-residents of Michigan) and attending a large campus located throughout the city of Ann Arbor, which is not for everyone. The city of Ann Arbor is known as one of the best places to live in the Midwest and combines small town pleasures with the cosmopolitan flavor and conveniences of a big city. To find out if the U-M School of Music is right for you, a trip to the school and surrounding area should be on your list before making a decision.
P.S.
For the U-M School of Music and many other schools, the application process can be confusing and difficult to navigate. There are many parts to understanding how to truly and successfully succeed in the audition process.
